Sprots · the mascot

“Legs today. I’m warming up.”

Sparky
Keeps you company. Never rushes you.
He’s the blue spark that already travels around the Sprots circle, now with a face. He lives on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, celebrates what you did and lights up when your week counts. What he doesn’t do is get angry.
His moments
Six moments.
He reacts to what you did, never to what you didn’t. He blinks, breathes and sways even when nothing is happening: that’s how you can tell he’s alive. Sparky celebrates; the one who talks about your training is your coach.
-
Before training
“Legs today. I’m warming up.”
He floats next to the day’s session and looks at it. Now and then he looks at you.
-
In the session
“Set 3 of 4.”
The trail behind him and his tuft swept back. He jumps every time you close a set.
-
During rest1:32
“Breathe. Next: squat, 8 × 45 kg.”
He closes his eyes and breathes slowly while the ring empties. The rest number is still the big thing.
-
Record
“Squat: 50 kg. Your best.”
He breaks into little sparks and comes back together in under two seconds.
-
Week complete
“Week closed. 7 in a row.”
He crouches, flashes and lights up: the tuft grows until it becomes the streak flame.
-
A week without training
“Your best streak: 6 weeks. Whenever you’re ready, we’ll start another.”
He goes back to being a spark, small and warm, asleep inside the circle. He never goes out.
The streak
He lights up with your week.
The streak is counted in weeks, so resting isn’t failing. With the first session your week already counts and Sparky’s tuft lights up. With the full week, he is the streak flame.
Two of three. The flame rises.
This mockup assumes a three-session week, like the one your coach leaves you. The streak counts the week from the first one.
How he’s made
A circle and a little flame.
Six geometric pieces, no hand-drawn strokes. He’s the same in the island as in the app; what changes is how much detail he carries.
Core. A circle of radius R. It’s the same circle the streak flame has at its base: that’s why he can become a flame without changing body.
Tuft. A little two-pointed flame, 0.6 R, with the bigger point swept back. It sways from its base. With a single point it read as a water drop.
Halo. A 2 R gradient, no blur: it glows on black and doesn’t heat up the phone.
Eyes. Ink ovals a little below center, 0.67 R apart, with a white highlight. He blinks every so often, sometimes twice in a row.
Mouth. A short curve. It only opens to celebrate; it never turns down.
Trail. Only when he moves forward: a gradient that thins out behind him, like the spark on the cover circle.
Three sizes, at real scale
At 20 pt the mouth, cheeks and highlight are removed, the eyes grow and the tuft gets 16% bigger: it looks simpler so it keeps reading.
Black silhouette
A circle with a little two-pointed flame on top. With no fuse and no stick, it can’t be mistaken for a bomb or a match.
From spark to flame
The kit’s streak flame (LlamaDeRacha) on top of Sparky. They share the circle: lighting up means the tuft growing.
Live Activity · lock screen
Your routine, without unlocking.
During the set: the exercise, the weight and the set number, big, to read at arm’s length. During rest: the countdown, what’s next and the routine track, with one segment per exercise. The phone itself counts the rest, without waking the app.
iOS doesn’t let a Live Activity animate in a loop: Sparky changes pose with each update (you close a set, rest begins) and that change does animate. When it reaches zero, the number changes color, silently.

Live Activity · the island
He fits in the island.
When you use another app, the session stays up top. At 20 pt, a circle with two eyes and its little flame still reads.
Live Activity · before
Today’s the day, no rush.
It appears an hour before, only if you booked a slot or your coach left you today’s session, and only if you turned it on. It shows the time you chose: it doesn’t count down or mention the streak. If you don’t go, it goes away on its own half an hour later, with no message and no sad face.

StartNotifications
He celebrates what you did.
Sparky doesn’t add notifications: he shows up in the thumbnail of the ones that already exist. The text is a fact, with no exclamation marks; he brings the party. If you turn him off, the notifications still arrive, as text.
